Moroccan Desert Tour

Day 1 : Casablanca

Our travel service begins when we meet and greet at the Casablanca airport and transfer you to your hotel. During this first day, we will visit Hassan II mosque. The first night is a special Welcome Dinner at a coastal restaurant. Enjoy your first night in your hotel which sits across from the Hassan II Mosque and provides a beautiful view. 

Night 1 : Casablanca


Day 2 : Casablanca – Rabat - Fez

After breakfast, we will depart at 8:30am from your hotel and continue to the Imperial city of Rabat, the administrative capital of the Kingdom. Visit the magnificent Mausoleum Mohamed V and the Hassan II and the Kasbah of Oudaya and it’s Medina. After a walk and shopping at the Medina, we will enjoy lunch at the coast in a beautiful restaurant overlooking the beach and ocean. We will then continue on to the city of Fez, enjoying the drive through Meknes where we will have a coffee break. In Fez, you’ll check into your beautiful riad and spa within the Medina. Upon arrival we will relax and enjoy dinner in the riad.

Day 3 : Fez – Midelt

Start your day with breakfast at the riad before meeting your local city guide for a comprehensive tour of the medina and its surroundings. Explore the Royal Palace's intricately carved brass gates, stroll through the Jewish quarter, and delve into the city's fascinating history, including insights into the royal family. Ascend to a hilltop for a breathtaking panoramic view of Fes and its Medina. Wander through the bustling narrow streets of the medina, pausing to witness captivating demonstrations by weavers, carpet makers, brass artisans, and tile/pottery craftsmen. Visit the renowned UNESCO-listed tanneries, renowned for their centuries-old natural dyeing techniques. After lunch, our journey heads south towards Midelt via Irfan. As we venture into the Middle Atlas region, pause for coffee in Ifran, often referred to as the "Switzerland of Morocco." Continuing on, we reach Azrou forest, part of Morocco's national parks, where you'll encounter wild Barbary apes and macaques, offering the chance to feed them cherries (a local favorite). Remember to purchase cherries in Fes for this delightful interaction. By day's end, we arrive in Midelt.

Night 3 : Midelt (High Atlas Mountains)


Day 4 : Ziz Valley – Merzouga town - Desert Camp

After breakfast at the hotel, we will depart for the south of Morocco. We will have a stop in the high atlas mountains to enjoy its beauty and take memorable photos. Then we will cross the pass of Tizi N'Talghamt to reach Errachidia while admiring the views of Ziz Gorges. Later on, you will have a stop for a panoramic view of Ziz valley and an opportunity for lunch. The drive continues to Erg Chebbi Dunes stopping for panoramic pictures at Aoufous and Erfoud (famous for fossils and dates). We will continue to the captivating dunes of Erg Chebbi, also know as the Merzouga Dunes. Here you can enjoy a camel ride at sunset to your accommodations for the night - the luxury desert camp. (Approximately 1 hour ride) Dinner will be served followed by a camp fire and traditional Berber music - giving you an opportunity to join in on the fun. This will be a night to enjoy a beautiful night full of stars. For your comfort, the camp is equipped with air conditioning and heat, as well as western shower and toiletries. 

Night 4 : Luxury Desert Camp

Day 5 : Merzouga – Dades Valley

Breakfast will be served at the camp, and an early wake-up call is available for those who want to witness the breathtaking sunrise. Following breakfast, you'll ride camels back to Mersouga to meet your guide. The day's itinerary includes a visit to the Gnawa people, Sudan natives, to experience their vibrant music and dance. Our drive will showcase breathtaking scenes, including the beautiful oasis of Tinghir. You'll have the chance to stroll along the Todgha riverbank, visiting Berber villages and learning about the locals' way of life. Continue your walk to the stunning Todgha Canyons and indulge in a delicious lunch at a local café. In the afternoon, our journey proceeds along the Kasbahs' road to Dades Valley before reaching your boutique hotel in Fig Valley for dinner.

Night 5 : Dades Valley


Day 6 : Dades Valley – Marrakech

After breakfast, drive along the Valley of the Roses to Kalaa Mgouna where you might choose to visit one of the Rose water cooperatives and learn how the locals prepare rose scented perfumes using distilled rose water. We continue to Ouarzazate past Skoura oasis famous for its date palm trees, then to Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou where you will have lunch before a visit of the Kasbah - a UNESCO world heritage site, that has been used as a set for various Hollywood movies and photoshoots. In the afternoon, we begin our descent through the Atlas Mountains, Tizi N’Tichka Pass, passing by various Berber villages and finally arriving in Marrakech late afternoon. Your driver will take you to your riad, leaving you free time to explore the authentic Moroccan square in the Medina.

Night 6 : Marrakech

Day 7 : Marrakech - Casablanca 

Return to Casablanca for your departure flight. It is a 3 hour drive from Marrakech to the airport in Casablanca and we will depart based on your flight time.
