3-Day Tour from Marrakech to the Sahara Desert
Day 1 : Marrakech – Tizi-N-Tichka – Ait ben Haddou – Ouarzazate – Dades Gorge
Embark from your hotel in Marrakech and head towards the Dades Gorges passing through the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass in the stunning Atlas Mountains. We will pass through traditional Berber villages of the High Atlas. We continue our journey to Kasbah Ait ben Haddou to visit this amazing UNESCO World Heritage site. We have the option to eat lunch here or at Ouarzazate. Once we arrive to Ouarzazate, you will also visit the Kasbah Taourirt and the Atlas Studios. Then we will continue to Dades Gorges, passing by the City of Roses. We will spend a night in a riad hotel in Dades Gorges.
Night 1 : Hotel at Dades Gorges
Erg Chebbi, camel ride
Day 2 : Dades Gorges – Tenghir – Todra Gorge –Tinjdad – Erfoud – Merzouga
After breakfast at your hotel, we start our journey to the Sahara Desert. We will see Berber villages along the way, pass through Todra Gorge, Teghir, Tinjdad, Jorf and Erfoud where we will start to feel the Sahara oasis of Tafilalet. Then we continue to the hotel in Merzouga where you will have a chance to relax for a few moments and pack some luggage for your one-night stay in the desert. We will start the adventure on camels, crossing the dunes of Erg Chebbi. The desert will be an opportunity to take beautiful pictures of the sunset and sunrise. When we reach the camp, we will leave the camels and climb the high dune, ideal for sand surfing and watching the sunset. We will stay one night in the Berber tents and enjoy drum music under the stars.
Night 2 : Luxury Camp at desert Erg Chebbi
Day 3 : Camel Trekking back to Merzouga – Atlas Mountains - Marrakech
Merzouga Desert sunrise
We will wake you up early in the morning so you can witness the beautiful sunrise over the dunes. Then we will ride the camels back to Merzouga to the hotel. After breakfast and a shower, we will start the journey back to Marrakech, passing through different areas including Berber villages (Alnif, Tazarine, N’kob) to Ouarzazate where we will take the same road to Marrakech and arrive in the late afternoon/evening.
